Trade Center South – RENEWED!

Trade Center South, a 215,000 square foot office building in the Cypress Creek corridor has scheduled a new renovation which includes some of the latest design trends and technological advances. The new look and feel, scheduled for this year, is one way the Center is aiming to please their current tenants and bring in new ones.

According to the RLC Architects, the designers, the plan is to re-fresh Trade Center South’s look with bright and durable materials, all the while maintaining the qualities of class “A” office space. Some of the new features will include:

• A new security desk placed strategically within the atrium space can be seen from the garage and main entrance doors, providing added security and convenience to the visitors. Clad in wood, the desk will add warmth and welcoming character to the space.

• Comfortable waiting areas in the atrium promote communal and interactive use of the space. At these areas the user could conduct informal meeting or watch the latest in news and financial information through LCD screen monitors. Communal areas are a growing trend in office space, allowing for easy networking and collaboration.

• The Main atrium floors will be done with light new flooring.

• Beautiful translucent screen panels will enhance and control the natural light in the atrium. These will also double as stunning pieces of art.

• A new waved perforated metal ceiling in the main atrium will soften and energize the lobby area.

• The natural environment is brought within by utilizing items such as bamboo forests within the atrium, brightening, adding color, scale and texture to the space.

• Glass, stainless steel and wood balconies will add visual depth from the atrium area and increase openness at the elevated individual lobby spaces.

• The upper floor lobbies, floors 8 through 10, will be renovated continuing the main lobby’s character. Composite wood paneling on the walls and open lattice ceilings will enhance brightness and open up the space. Art work placed strategically within each lobby will add character to the space.

Trade Center South sits in the Cypress Corridor at the intersection of I-95, Cypress Creek Road, and Andrews Boulevard. It was constructed in the 1980s when there were very few office buildings in the Cypress Creek area. Since then, surrounding properties have been developed and the area now appeals to tenants who desire a professional atmosphere and easy mobility. The proximity to I-95 and Cypress Creek makes the space ideal for tenants such as sales professionals and staffing companies. Trade Center South hopes to procure new tenants for some of the space as early as this month.
